The ACC Dance Department presents Summer Dance Informance on Friday, August 8, 2025 with two performances at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. The Dance Department will showcase choreographic works from faculty and invited artists from the community, including Jessica Boone, BHumn Arts Ensemble by Cheryl Copeland, Taylor Dominique, Erin Ellis, Roxanne Gage, Darla Johnson, Christina Mitchell, and Sanchita Sharma.
Our shows will take place in the Highland Campus Dance Studio (HLC2-2550). The dance studio will be transformed into a performance space by our technical and production team with Channing Schreyer as the lighting designer, Sanchita Sharma as the Production and Stage Manager, and Philip Weaver as the Assistant Stage Manager.
The Summer Dance Informance will feature solos and ensemble works that range from explorations of grief, isolation, questioning what it means to live in the world today, to celebrating achievements and being amused by one’s bodily intelligence. These artistic themes will take the audience on a journey, making them feel happy, sad, and nostalgic–all within a packed show of 50 minutes!
Featuring live music by Mike Fonseca. Please note that we will host a 10-minute talk-back with the choreographers after the 5 p.m. show, inviting the audience to have a candid conversation with the cast.
