Aug 9 – Sept 28 – Faculty Member Shawn Camp Opens Solo Exhibition at Rockport Center for the Arts

Austin Community College painting faculty member Shawn Camp is presenting a new solo exhibition, Between What I Fear and What I Hope, at the Rockport Center for the Arts. The exhibition runs August 2 through September 28, 2025, in the H-E-B Gallery, with an opening reception on Saturday, August 9 as part of Rockport’s monthly Austin Street Art Walk.

Known for his luminous, layered surfaces and use of refractive pigments, Camp’s work explores themes of perception, presence, and uncertainty. The exhibition highlights his ongoing experimentation with mixed media, offering viewers an immersive and contemplative visual experience.

Camp is a longtime member of the ICOSA artist collective and has exhibited his work nationally and internationally. His contributions to the ACC ADM department reflect the college’s commitment to supporting active, professional artists in the classroom and beyond.
